Our favorite home automation platform is now even better.

Every fall, we comb through the CEDIA Expo for new products and solutions for our smart home clients’ best home environment. 

This was an exciting year at the CEDIA Expo for our favorite total home automation platform, Savant. The tech innovator showed an impressive array of emerging products and technologies to bring in the next generation of smart homes. 

We love Savant because its luxury home theater and home automation solutions are engineered to simplify life — not complicate it. It uses the industry’s only Apple®-based control and automation solution. And it unifies a homeowner's entire audio and video, lighting control systems, security, climate, communications, internet, and ancillary services into one easy-to-use, seamless experience.

At this year's event, Savant unveiled three new next-generation technologies: Savant Intercom, Secure Voice Control, and Smart Networking. The Intercom service supports room-to-room communications throughout the property without the need for intercom hardware. Truly amazing. The Secure Voice Control platform uses natural language for offline processing of voice commands. Clients can use hands-free in-room microphones, as well as push-to-talk options. These new solutions will be available early next year. 

Savant also unveiled its new Home Back-Up & Restore service. This cloud-based subscription stores key settings and other information vital to each homeowners’ unique home technology. 

Every year at the Expo, the BEST (Best Electronic Systems Technologies) Awards are one of the key places we look for what’s coming in smart home technology. Some of our clients’ favorite home products came to us this way, and we always look to these awards for more ideas.

This year, the global smart home automation leader was awarded best home networking device for its Network AI. The Network AI will be released soon in conjunction with Juniper Networks. The global networking company is working with Savant to provide us with customized, state-of-the-art enterprise-grade network systems. 

Among its many exciting features, Savant Network AI will include machine learning analysis of homeowners’ networking experiences.
