Your home entertainment will never be the same
Every fall, we get a little bit of heaven when thousands of home technology professionals and innovators converge in one place for the annual CEDIA Expo.
(Our other versions of heaven equal fly fishing and skiing, which is why we live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.)
Every year, we come away from the CEDIA Expo with tons of new ideas and excitement for new innovations in smart home tech available to our clients. We love learning about the newest developments, where the industry is heading, and how to offer our clients the best of the best in home entertainment, security, lighting, energy control, and home automation.
At the Expo, the BEST (Best Electronic Systems Technologies) Awards are one of the key places we look for what’s coming in smart home technology. Some of our clients’ favorite home products came to us this way, and we always look to these awards for more ideas.
This year, we’re excited that a lot of our favorite product lines won awards for innovative new technology. We’ll be reviewing some of those award winners in upcoming blogs.
Today, we’re going to focus on new offerings from Samsung, including The Frame with its new matte finish, which won for best flat panel TV/Ultra HD TV.
At this year’s Expo, Samsung announced its a whole new line-up of amazing home entertainment tech, including its new flagship Neo QLED 4K and OLED 4K TVs, The Wall All-in-One, and the can’t-believe-our-eyes new gaming screen, Odyssey Ark.
Frankly, we’re not surprised The Frame won for best flat panel TV/Ultra HD TV. It was an amazing television to begin with – it’s used to show artwork when not in use as a traditional TV. Now, it’s updated with an anti-reflective screen to make artwork even more realistic. The Frame and Samsung’s Lifestyle TVs are designed to blend into the home aesthetic.
At the Expo, Samsung unveiled its new portable option, The Freestyle, developed around the company’s “Screens Everywhere, Screens for All” concept. Our clients can use it for outdoor movie nights, travel, and parties anywhere.
The new 98” Neo QLED QN100B 4K flagship TV is the most powerful 4K TV ever created for the home. Period. It has built-in 120W, 6.4.4-channel Dolby Atmos surround sound. And you wouldn’t believe the size – it’s just 19.9mm thick.
For our gaming clients (and their kids!), Samsung unveiled the world’s first 55-inch, 4K curved gaming screen, the Odyssey Ark. This is top-shelf all the way, and what makes it really unique is its ability to rotate the 1000R curved display into Cockpit Mode. Yes, you can multi-task across multiple screens stacked vertically. In own your home.
