What we can tell our fellow A/V tech geeks: Thor is the first and only integrated laser 6P 4K 3D projector. Its control system actively cools both laser modules and the DMD engine, making it possible for the projector to maintain a long lifetime at brightness level twice that of regular xenon projectors. It has a 30,000-hour lifetime with at least 80% of the initial brightness. Its technology minimizes laser speckle, so that it can project both 2D and 3D images on both white and silver screens. It also uses an analog color convergence mechanism that allows red and green DMD chips to be manually adjusted for perfect convergence – and makes images that much sharper. Its dual-laser light engine means it gives 18,000 lumens of brightness, even on large, cinema-size screens. The image is perfectly crisp, with rich, complex color and blacks. It projects from both server-based and Ultra HD Blu-ray sources.
It’s these kinds of features that equal the attention to detail we love.
