Savant Acquires GE Lighting
Our premier home automation platform Savant has more exciting opportunities on the horizon for its luxury home clients. The worldwide leader in smart home automation announced this spring that it signed a definitive agreement to purchase GE Lighting. The transaction is expected to close the middle of this year.
This new acquisition will offer our Savant clients even more flexibility and design opportunities.

GE Lighting has lead lighting innovations for nearly 130 years, from incandescent bulbs to LED and smart solutions to the first voice-embedded lighting product. They currently offer a large portfolio of smart home lighting solutions, committed to lighting that enhances productivity, health and wellness, and security. GE’s series of smart home products, “C by GE,” offers bulbs, plugs, switches and color strips. Most recently, GE lighting expanded their offerings of smart bulbs and smart switches in its C by GE line, all designed in partnership with Google to offer customers seamless voice control.
This transition unites the innovative spirits and expertise of both GE Lighting and Savant, giving Savant home automation clients even more opportunities for top-level home automation lighting that is fully integrated and suited to their individual needs.
Savant’s acquisition of GE Lighting gives the smart home leader access to this large portfolio of smart LED bulbs and design-oriented LEDs (like the super-cool vintage filament). GE’s portfolio of smart lighting solutions fits Savant’s mission and design aesthetic, emphasizing elegance, simplicity, and flexibility for its luxury home clients.
