The Caséta Smart Motion Sensor is ideal for any place in your home where you need hands-free control, like bathrooms, hallways, garages, laundry rooms, and more. How many times are you telling your kids to shut off the lights? Or going around the house turning off lights? The new motion sensors handle this for you, saving you energy costs while making home life safer and more convenient.
The free-standing sensor offers additional capabilities, too: from it, you can control lights and Lutron Serena shades wirelessly. The sensor can automatically turn on Caséta smart devices when you enter the space, and turn them off when you leave. Just one single sensor controls an array of Caséta smart switches, dimmers, fans, and smart shades within a 60-foot radius. With a 180-degree field of view, the sensor has proven it detect fine motion up to three times better than any device currently on the market.
Because the sensor is wireless, it can be mounted to a wall or corner, or placed free-standing on a flat surface. It has a 10-year battery life (three times longer than the competition). And you can customize your lighting levels with each smart device controlled by the sensor.
If you have a home with unusual room layouts, or especially thick stone or concrete walls, Lutron now offers the Caséta Repeater. This device expands the system range of the Caséta smart bridge by 60 feet. With no required Ethernet connection, you can just plug the repeater into any outlet, giving you even more flexibility for your Lutron smart light devices.
