Trinnov’s Altitude line of high-end AV preamp/processors has been lauded for its superior quality, the recipient of numerous awards for best product and best installation. Altitude32 is now revered as the market-leading processor for elite home cinemas.

This year, Trinnov will add support for the IMAX® Enhanced format to its Altitude line. IMAX Enhanced certifies high-end consumer electronics products for playback of digitally remastered 4K HDR content with enhanced DTS audio.

IMAX Enhanced will be added to the Altitude32 and the Altitude16 as a free software update in the second half of 2019.

This year, Trinnov’s Altitude processors will be the first to support DTS:X® Pro Immersive Audio Technology in home audio systems. DTS:X is an immersive object-oriented audio format, allowing for expanding spatial resolution and realism.

Object-oriented audio expands the options for sound designers from a small number of fixed loudspeaker channels, giving them a much broader palette to paint sound. With object-oriented audio, “sound objects” move in three-dimensional space around the audience, relayed to the loudspeakers by the surround processor. For example, a bullet could sound small while streaming by the listener’s ear. Roaring waves could roll in the distance. Thunder could bounce of hills in the distance. The audio possibilities for a sound designer are wide open, and now this experience is available in your home.

The free software update will be available for Altitude processors later this year.
