It’s no surprise that several product lines we work with at Jackson Hole AV were finalists for the Best New Product Award announced at the CEDIA Expo earlier this month.

CEDIA is the leading worldwide authority in the home technology industry. The organization represents 3,700 member companies globally and more than 30,000 professionals who manufacture, design, and integrate services for the home. At the CEDIA 2018 Expo, tech professionals from around the world gathered to view and train in new tech integration. 

Among the finalists for the Best New Product Award…

Lutron’s Palladiom Shading System, an exposed bracket system of automated shades, with an enhanced drive architecture and near-silent performance, all within a thin 3-inch total profile. With its balanced bottom rail, the shading is balanced from roller to window sill. Palladion utilizes Lutron’s “Intelligent Hembar Alignment,” which synchronizes all automated shades within a room or your entire home. The design fits into any aesthetic style, and blends especially well when the jamb bracket is installed into a frame or window recess, causing the shade to appear as if it’s floating in mid-air. 

Savant’s Multistat – the smart thermostat – features a high-res touchscreen to show more than just the temperature in your home. It displays indoor and outdoor temperatures, the local weather forecast, and preset Savant scenes. You can set temperature points throughout the day, the week, or the year, managing your home’s temperature based on the many situations and needs of your family. In addition to temperature, its integrated sensors track humidity and more to make sure your home’s climate is what you want. The relay modules make it possible for Multistat to handle multiple heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.

Séura’s SMART Mirror transforms your average bathroom mirror into a screen, allowing for hands-free voice activation and touch control options. You can check and send email, watch the news, update your calendar, get the weather, and use your favorite apps while shaving or brushing your teeth. And the award goes to…

Among the winners, Samsung’s The Wall, a 146-inch modular TV with MicroLED technology delivering unbelievable definition, without restriction of size, resolution, or form. This self-emitting TV uses micrometer-scale LEDs, much smaller than current LEDs, serving as their own source of light. There’s no need for color filters or backlight, and the MicroLED screen sets a new standard for light source lifetime and efficient power consumption. With its module-based, bezel-less design, users can customize their TV sizes and shapes to their own specifications.
